Nathan Tubbs
Educator and Chaplain in Auburn, AL
Nathan currently serves as a Master Teacher with the AUTeach program at Auburn University, where he works to train the next generation of STEM educators.
From 2008-2024, Nathan and his wife, Lesley, lived in Brooklyn, New York, serving the city and seeking to make a difference in the neighborhood of Bay Ridge. During their time in NYC, he worked as a STEM teacher in two public schools through the NYC Teaching Fellows Program. Additionally, he led a team to launch Cornerstone Church at Bay Ridge and served the church in a bi-vocational and volunteer role until his departure from Brooklyn in May 2024.
In 2017, Nathan was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force Reserves. He has served at Joint Base Andrews, MD and Maxwell Air Force Base, AL, and is currently assigned as a chaplain to Space Launch Delta 45 at Patrick Space Force Base and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
In his free time, Nathan enjoys reading, being a percussionist, and spending time outdoors. He's a self-professed nerd, and can spend hours talking about comic books, fountain pens, NASA, and science fiction works.
